Hurricane Dennis
Many people outside of Florida have asked how we fared with the hurricane stuff. So far so good.
Abby picking up shells.
This one was called “Dennis”. Amanda and I tried to guess how many times the news programs would use the phrase “Dennis The Menace” or “Dennis is menacing Florida” or some play on the “menace” word.
Every time “Dennis” and “Menace” were mentioned together in regards to the hurricane – Amanda and I would just laugh. No surprise since news has become so predictable.
The day after it passed by us we went out to Captiva Island to see if anything cool washed ashore. There were beds of shells two feet thick! It was pretty cool. Sarah Kate and Abby had a blast walking around collecting shells.
Tate picking up shells. Hurricane Dennis is behind her about 200 miles, over her left shoulder.
Me, Abby and Tate.
