Road Trip Day 4: El Paso to Jacksonville, Texas
We set out this morning hoping to get to Austin, Texas. We were greeted by a beautiful sunrise.

Not much else to tell really. We just drove and drove and drove … and drove.
At the last minute we decided to navigate north through Dallas/Fort Worth instead of through Austin. We were hoping to make it AT LEAST to Dallas. But we actually got there sooner than we realized – so we kept on going.
After Dallas we took a dive south again through Athens Texas and ended up stopping in Jacksonville, Texas – where we are currently staying at a Best Western.
Tomorrow we are planning on driving another 20 miles southwest to Nacogdoches, Texas. It is the place where much of my Grandma’s side of the family once lived – and my Grandfather inherited some oil rights on some land there. It should be interesting.
More sunrise pics.

Tomorrow: Jacksonville, Texas to Nacogdoches, Texas to Memphis, Tennessee.
