Asheville’s oldest store closes … or … Good news for Asheville’s second oldest store!

T.S. Morrison & Co. is closing it’s doors.

According to this article:

The store’s history reflects much of Asheville’s. It started in 1891 as a seller of wagons, carriages and agricultural equipment, occupying several different locations in the early years. It sold farm supplies and hardware at 39 N. Lexington Ave. downtown for much of the 20th century, then became a general gift store heavily dependent on tourist traffic.

I wonder, who is the SECOND oldest store …
