Which one is the pot, and which one is the kettle?
When I was growing up and we read about church sex abuse scandals like this Associated Press Story on settling out of court, it was always presented in our publications as hard evidence the Catholic Church had “fallen away” and did not have God’s approval.
Even their prepared statement about how they “abhor child abuse” sounds vaguely familiar to the Catholic response.
I’m sure there’s a glass house falling somewhere in Brooklyn.
You would think a religion that claims to be the one and only real deal would have a more up to date policy on those type of claims…… if someone is going to molest a child I would tend to think they wouldn’t do it in front of a group, so the whole “two witness” policy becomes null and void in my mind. But this is coming from an organization that is worse than a knitting circle.
