Makoviney.net “Had some work done”

You probably noticed Makoviney.com got an extreme makeover.
I moved it from one blogging platform to another and applied a new design.
So far I like it a lot.
The dark background makes all the large pictures “pop” on the screen – check out the Cross-Country Road Trip and the Georgia Aquarium as a couple of good examples.
Whaddya [...]

Double your MySpace pleasure

So my main MySpace account is for music. But I also started a new one that I can still use to keep in touch with friends in other parts of the country.
I won’t be adding bands or crap like that to my personal one. So if you’d like to get in touch on a non-musical [...]

You know what is cool?

My songwriting tips website is up to over 1000 unique visitors per day.
That’s a lotta songwriters!
How cool is that?! Holla!

Some new quotes for Makoviney.net

I added some new quotes to the Quotes Rotator on the homepage of the site:
The first one is from Eleanor Roosevelt (May 11, 1943 Eleanor Roosevelt):

“One of the best ways of enslaving a people is to keep them from education. The second way of enslaving people is to

Interviewer: You turn 30 in October. What will be the worst part about seeing your 20s go away?
John Mayer: “There are [...]

So I updated my Wish Lists at Amazon and Musician’s Friend.
Why?

Check it out.

Actually, the reason is because most of the pictures taken of me that I have access to are usually taken by people 8 years of age and under. So these shots are snapped [...]

Wow! Life of Brian documentary!

Easily one of the funniest movies of all time, this one-hour documentary talks about the controversy from religious groups and even studio execs regarding the making and release of the film.
My favorite quote (and one that I can certainly identify with) comes from Terry Gilliam, 30 minutes and 58 seconds into the documentary:

Twin Peaks – The Second Season available April 10, 2007

Twin Peaks – The Second Season is available on DVD April 10, 2007. It’s about time.
