When I was growing up and we read about church sex abuse scandals like this Associated Press Story on settling out of court, it was always presented in our publications as hard evidence the Catholic Church had “fallen away” and did not have God’s approval.
Even their prepared statement about how they “abhor child abuse” sounds [...]
